!GOLDIE:
Goldie was a Practical Nurse, and was sought out by many, especially, if the
person in need of a Nurse was terminally ill. Goldie was the type of woman that
"womans intuition" was named for. She liked a good joke, and she could make any
story into a Spell Binder. She had high blood pressure, and diabetes, and her
final illness was caused by these conditions, she had a stroke and was bed
ridden the last few years of her life. Her daughter Anna Beryl and son
in-law Cecil Kee, helped Frank take care of Goldie during this time.
!CRISIS:
She had an APRON HEM, shot off, while she was wearing the apron, (accidentally)
by a teenage neighbor boy, that later became an Oregon State Patrolman. She had
just bent over to hand the boy a slice of watermelon, when the 12 gauge shotgun
on the boys lap went off, shot off the apron hem, went through the pots and pan
area under the sink and on out the side of the house. She calmly saved the shot
off apron hem, while her daughter Anna Beryl, who was pregnant with Cecilia Ann
nearly went into histerics, and the neighbor boy turned white, picked up his gun
without saying a word and walked through the forest to his home.
!from personal knowledge of the Cecil Kee family.
!The Midwifes name at Goldies birth was SUSAN SNOW.
!Goldie, was a member of the Eagle Point Grange and of the Royal Neighbors.
!Casket bearers at Goldie's funeral, included Clyde Chamberlain,Dick Chamberlain
Gene Chamberlain and Raymond Chamberlain.
!SCHOOL SOUVENIR:
