Per Knox Genealogy:
"William Knox was in the French and Indian War and afterwards was in
the Revolution. On Sept. 18, 1746 he sells two 60 acre lots in Blandford
to Robert Young of Wallingford, Ct. for 200 pounds. On the same date
Robert Young binds himself as follws: "Whereas, the said William Knox. Jr.
has sold all his property, both real and personal, to the said Robert Young,
and Whereas the said William Knox, Jr., has enlisted as a soldier in His
Majesties service against the French and Indians and is now going forth on
such service, if it shall happen that he, the said William Knox, Jr. shall
proceed therein and then return home again, the said deed shall be null
and void; otherwise in full force and virtue."
