Came to Pennyslvania with his parents, probably before the Revolution. Probably settled in Washington County, PA. Moved to Athens township in 1801, where he was one of the first white settlers and built one of the first horse-mills in that townsh ip. Younker's Genealogy has death date as October 16, 1831 instead of September 1831. In 1812 list of OH taxpayers, p. 126. In New Athens Twp, Harrison Co., OH, p. 145 in 1830.
