Notes

The 1850 census for William Barnes McConnell showed he was born in Caldwell County, KY, about 1827. The only McConnell in the 1830 census was John McConnell, who had a son under 5 (also one 5-10 and 10-15). This is not conclusive, but ther e is a reasonable probability. If we could find a will that would prove this. The Sarah Miller marriage was probably a second marriage since he had a son under the age of 16 in the 1820 census.
