Notes

There were two small souvenir cards among about 200 postcard that had
belonged to my grandmother, Mary Arthur Baith. They were from Dungannon
where she attended school. There are two holes near the tops of each card
and they were probably tied together with a string or ribbon. The cards
are about 3 X 5 inches.

The first card looks about like this:

Mary Loretta Arthur was first married to Calvin Baight and had two sons,
Floyd Calvin and Arthur Eli.

It is not now known what the state of the marriage was at the time of
Calvin's death. It is known that they had seperated several years before
his death and it was thought that they had divorced but both his death
certificate and obituary lists her as his widow. At the time of his death
she was in South Carolina and she returned to Ohio on the day of his
funeral.

From a newspaper clipping, date and paper unknown but must have been in
early June 1901:

Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Baith of Dungannon are guest at the home of his
sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs Samuel Myers, in Fair street. Mr.
and Mrs. Baith were just married a few days ago.

About six years after Calvin's death, she remarried. Her husband was
Frank Slack, who had been previously been married to Nellie Myers,
