Per the Gowdy website, they were married Feb 24, 1809, in Greene Co., OH. Per Andrew's will, there are more children but they are not mentioned specifically except for the oldest named John Gowdy. Andrew Gowdy was one of the first settlers of Hami lton County, OH and he was shown on Greene County tax lists starting in 1809.

In 1775 an Andrew McConnell was listed as a private in the company headed by Captain John Brisbane.

This happened in June 1776
"A few days after they killed Joshua House at the Upper Blue Licks, and took two daughters of Col. Callaway and one of Col. Boone at Boonesborough, and took two of Andrew McConnell's sons. It occasioned Arrowsmith and me to quit raising corn, an d we went to Hinkston's settlement on South Licking. The explorers and us attempted to build a blockhouse. In a few days the Indians killed James Cooper and made several other attempts,

Andrew McConnell lived, for about 5 yrs. About 20 ms. above Pittsburgh; whh; was then the back woods, and very little settled. Forks of York. My f. had lived a little while in Pittsburgh; 1st, & left us behind there- to go to school, until he move d up the river, when he came and got us. The indns: {indians} haunted about Pittsburgh for a long time. I have wondered, sometimes, how they ever got it settled.

On marker at Blue Licks State Park, Robertson County, KY. Per the marker he was born 1830, but this may not be correct.
Note: Died while fighting, with Daniel Boone, at the Battle of Blue Licks, the last battle of the Revolutionary War, August 19, 1782.

There was a land grant August 11, 1792 in Andrew McConnell's name, perhaps for the benefit of his widow, in Woodford Co., KY.
