From the Alliance Review

Spring dinner at Lexington UM accords honors to Helen Baith

The Lexington United Methodist Women held their ladies spring
banquet for 47 guests featuring a program on "Angels" by Jan Trummer.

Special honor was accorded Helen Baith, who observed her 80th
birthday in February. She was presented with rose cosage and a needle
point cross made my Leonore McGirr.

The third of eight children, she was born Helen Kommel in Salem and
migrated to Alliance in 1923. She attended Greenbower school and
graduated from Alliance High School.

She worked as a substitute in Alliance High School cafeteria and
also at Stern and Manns. She is the widow of Arthur Baith, Sr., the
mother of six children, grandmother of eight and great grandmother of
four. Four many years she has been secretary of United Methodist Women.
