Notes

In the 1820 Census, Xenia Twp, Greene Co., OH there was James McConnell
45+ and a son 16-26. Next to him was John Hamilton with 3 females age
16-26. On 12/5/1822 Greene Co., OH there was a marriage of Mary Hamilton
and Robert McConnell.

In the 1830 census, Xenia Twp, Greene Co., OH there were 2 sons under 5,
Robert was 30-40, there was 1 daughter 0-5, 1 dau 5-10, 1 dau 10-15, and
Mary was 20-30.

The 1840 census was in Columbia Twp, Gibson Co., OH. Robert is 50-60.
His wife died on Nov 3, 1838. There is a woman in the 70-80 age range
living in the household-- this is most likely Jane Finley who is said
to have lived until 1858. There is Samuel G (15-20), James H (10-15),
William T (5-10), Robert F (0-5). There is Martha J (15-20), unknown
(10-15), Mary A (5-10), Nancy (5-10), and Ann (0-5).

In the 1850 census at Columbia Twp, Gibson Co., OH all the children above
are listed except for an unknown girl who was (10-15) in 1840. Robert
McConnell was age 60, Samuel G was 27, Martha J was 25, William L was 20,
Mary Ann was 17, Nancy A was 17, Ann E was 14, Robert L was 12. There was
also Mary S. McConnell, the recent wife of Samuel G. McConnell.

In the 1860 census Robert lived with his daughter Mary Ann and her new
husband from England, John Butcher. Robert F. McConnell, his son, was
also living there and he owned $1,000 worth of real estate.

Robert died on Feb 5, 1862 in Barton Twp, Gibson Co., IN.
